Andy Brigg

 

I began my career studying Bioanalytical Science at University, graduating in 1995

In my first scientific role, I enjoyed 2 years at Manchester University working on Clinical Biosensor Development, a hot topic currently!

I then moved to SensAlyse Ltd, a technology transfer company involved in the scale up and manufacture of biosensors and chemical sensors for the clinical and agro-food markets. I worked there for 5 years as a Project Scientist.

I began my recruitment career with Lab Support UK in 2002, where I have enjoyed success for 15 years, offering a 365 degree  service working in business development and recruitment roles across permanent and contingency desks.  I developed the in-house Lab Support induction and training manual and delivered training to new and experienced recruitment consultants. 

My commitment was rewarded when I was promoted to manage the UK business and associated satellite office operations.

In 2017, Brigg Scientific was established to meet the needs of clients, UK wide. It offers flexible pricing strategies and personalised services for all sectors of the scientific industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and material science.

Committed to improving my skills, I am recently qualified in Human Resource Management from Salford University with a focus on employment law, and also to AAT Accounting Technician level. 

Andy Watts

I graduated in Zoology BSc from Liverpool University; an ideal grounding for a subsequent career in business development within publishing, exhibitions, office supplies and latterly scientific recruitment, all within the business to business marketplace.

Throughout my career I have displayed the ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships with key decision makers by providing great customer service and I aim to continue this under the Brigg Scientific umbrella.

After 9 successful years with Lab Support, I joined Brigg Scientific as Business Development Manager in 2018. As we grow our Business I am looking forward to helping you achieve your scientific, engineering project and manufacturing goals.
